Rick & Tracy Cornish
Rick Cornish is a former Marine officer with an earned Doctorate degree from Denver Seminary as well as a Master’s degree in Greek and history from the University of Nebraska. He has experience as a pastor in the United States and is the founder of “Teaching Truth International” (a ministry that trains pastors all over the world). Dr. Cornish teaches systematic theology, New Testament, and church history at several international universities and training centers (including China, Nicaragua, the Miskito Coast, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, Cameroon, Russia, Ukraine, and Australia).
He previously served as the U. S. Director and teacher of New Testament at Donetsk Christian University in Ukraine. He is the author of three books that have been published in multiple languages: 5 Minute Theologian, 5 Minute Apologist, and 5 Minute Church Historian, all published by NavPress.
Rick met his wife Tracy through Youth for Christ, and they have been married for 36 years. Through the years she has been active in youth ministry, women’s ministry, and music ministry. She is currently the assistant to the women’s ministry director at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Minneapolis. She has also traveled with Rick to Ukraine, Australia, and China.
They have two sons, Ben and Scott. Scott holds a Master’s degree in Christian Thought from Bethel Seminary in St. Paul, Minnesota as well as a B.A. in music from the University of Arkansas. Ben has a B.A. in history from the University of Minnesota and worked for two years with Campus Crusade for Christ in Brisbane Australia. He is now on staff with Teaching Truth International and is working through seminary.
